After releasing details on their cut & sews, wovens and shorts these past few days, New York’s DQM releases their Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook. The skateboard/streetwear/lifestyle label revives the Polaroid picture for the series. The looks include tees, snapbacks, button-downs, trousers, lightweight outerwear and more. Individually designed by three workers of the infamous Flimby factory in England, The New Balance 576 ’30th Anniversary UK Manufacturing’ Pack arrives in select retailers. Each of the three pairs pays homage to their designers, Andy Mandle, “Billy” Edgar and Roy Bell. The three factory workers have each remained at the factory for the entire 30 year existence. Each 576 silhouette is equipped with different materials and construction – leather, nubuck, and suede. Available August 1, 2012 at Overkill.

California’s streetwear soon-to-be retailer, BAIT links up with ASICS for the GT-II Rings Pack. Debuting this coming June 2012, the shop’s concept will apparently be more design-driven with plans already afoot for its own in-house brand of apparel, as well as vinyl toys and of course, sneakers. Designed to invoke the superhero spirit of the London Games, the pack is full of color – perfect pick ups for the upcoming summer season.

The Japanese exclusive line is known for their innovative take on prints, predominantly in regards to their luggage pieces including their day and fanny packs.

Since 1985, Yuki Matsuda has been channeling his love of vintage Americana through his footwear and luggage line, Yuketen. Yuki works closely with groups of artisan specialists, taking their passion and consummate skill and applying it to a strongly defined aesthetic that progresses, rather than simply mimics, a bygone era. Blue DB Mismatch Chukka are crafted from multicoloured suede leather panels, each shoe differs in colour ways. Fastens with a brown leather lace through two sets of eyelets, with hand-stitched moccasin style toe in off-white cross top stitching. Naturally colored 100% leather with composite rubber boat sole.

Paul Rodriguez’s Primitive cops the new spring/summer 2012 footwear looks from New York streetwear label, Alife. The collection sports new colorways in the Chuck Low, the Moc Low Tassel and Public Estate Low. One common attribute found throughout each of the three warm weather offerings is their ability to fit well without socks. Highlights include the Public Estate Low in red – great pickup for the summer.

The City of Hong Kong is a buzz with excitement of the latest KAWS opening at the Galerie Perrotin. This solo exhibition simply titled, ‘Nature of Need’ sees the return of the artist since debuting his Passing Through Companion piece. Separated into two areas, the main showroom featured the new series of vertical cut plank canvases. The second room brings together a sampling of KAWS’ other works including the return of the infamous canvas white gloves of the Companion.
