With last week’s episode, we witnessed a rise in the fortunes of CRISP…this week’s episode – not so much. The Friction features just that – friction. The uncertain future of CRISP is a touchy subject for Ben and Cam.
Ben detects a conflict of interest when Nancy sets Crisp with a manufacturer named Yosi. Determined to put some flavor in biscuit, Rachel ignores her boss and pursues a nervous edge.
Ben and Cam turn on the CRISP charm with buyers from a Midwestern retailer after Nancy registers her disapproval; Rene tries to convince Debbie he’s turned over a new leaf; Rachel undergoes an eye-opening transformation.
At an upstate wedding, Ben’s platonic friendship with Rachel is tested by nostalgia and a revelation about the new guy she’s been seeing. Meanwhile, Kapo stresses about speaking from the heart in his best-man speech.
