Rihanna just released the tracklist to her sixth studio album which is scheduled for release on November 18, 2011 through Def Jam Recordings. The lead single from the album, “We Found Love” featuring Calvin Harris, was released September 22, 2011. Next up is her second single “You Da One.” Quite a bit different sonically from the debut single, the second one features a more traditional pop sound while the first was absolutely directed to the dance floor.

Rihanna currently has the number one record on the Billboard charts. Her 11th number one single to be precise; a career that she herself would have truly thought to be impossible when growing up in her native land of Barbados. As promotion for her upcoming album Talk That Talk, she recently released a series of behind-the-scenes candids which include a preliminarily tracklist. They show the comfy, more intimate side of the pop sensation – possibly the side many forget when they see her wildn’ out on stage. Look for more to come from her album in coming days and weeks.

We apologize for not posting this up when it dropped last week but we thought it posed so much iconic and powerful cinematography that we thought we would take our time and prepare a proper post. The video features a wide variety of provocative images that take place in a sort of retro-modern setting. The director uses an interesting filter to make it feel of another era while depicting the imagery of today. A vast casting call discovered British model/boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy who made his music video debut.

Talking to MTV News, Director Melina Matsoukas says, “we love, obviously, to do provocative imagery … we always try to definitely push the limits. I think because, in the end, it’s not really at all about domestic violence. It’s really just about it being toxic, and they’re on this drug trip and that definitely plays a part, but I think it’s also about being triumphant over those weaknesses, and she leaves him. It’s not trying to glorify that type of relationship. The bad parts of it, that’s what you don’t want. In the end, her leaving, it represents her getting that out of her life. The drugs and the addiction and the toxic — that’s what brings her downfall and brings a lot of harm.”

We all know that Rihanna is the new face of Armani Jeans. She took over from Megan Fox after her pop culture stock fell faster than Enron’s after a few poor film choices. Regardless Rihanna took the helm and never looked back. In this short two minute film Rihanna re-visits her first campaign which debuted here about a month ago. It features a striped down pop star change into her highly classified pair of Armani denim. The Steven Klein contemporary Film Noir short was shot in New York against a backdrop of garage walls and car seats, the result is both sexy, yet sophisticated.

Rihanna is making news all around the world these days for her wild concert performances. Here she is on the cover of British Vogue for the month of November. Styled in the Armani Prive dress with an uncharacteristic blonde wig. This cover is sure to raise an eyebrow or two. There have already been some grumblings about a possibly lighter skin tone? Regardless of all that she is a beauty and she looks ever so stunning. Look for more from the spread when it hits stands.
